Mike Tomlin Message to his team:
More & more it seems NFL teams are letting us inside their team meetings & this one with Mike Tomlin is one you should actually play for your players too. It's a message about constantly improving & what setting reasonable expectations should be for every single one of your players. We're not doing it justice here in text for you need to listen here:
Kickoff Roundtable:
This Week's Kickoff Roundtable was one of the best sessions we've had on the Network this off season! The Roundtable featured Jeremy Springer (LA Rams), Charlie Ragle (Arizona State, Garrett McLaughlin (New Hampshire), Allen Tucker (Akron), Dakota Tillman (Arkansas State), & Colin Schaeffer (Bucknell). And if you know any of those guys, you know how great this was. Here's the outline of what was discussed:
What is your philosophy on KO?
How much multiplicity do you have in your fits / formations / types of kicks?
How do you teach block reactions? Does this change for you on different parts of the field?
How do you teach KO during the season? Any thoughts on best ways to effectively teach this play while limiting running / physicality? Same question from a specialist standpoint as well.
How do you evaluate the players in your program to be on your KO team? How do you make the final decision on who you play with?
How do you teach your fits on KO? Does it change vs different KOR schemes, if so how so?
You can watch the whole Roundtable now:
